Home School Agreement

We have set up a Home School Agreement, which is to be signed by all parties, that sets out our promises to ensure that each child can be as supported as possible in their time at Priory. The agreements are below:

The School Promises to:

  1. Make sure you and your child feel welcome and valued.
  2. Care for your child’s safety and well being.
  3. Value your child as an individual, celebrate their achievements and aim to ensure they are happy.
  4. Ensure your child understands the rights of every child and that their own rights are upheld e.g. pupils will help to make important decisions.
  5. Promote responsible and thoughtful behaviour and attitudes.
  6. Ensure the learning environment is stimulating and engaging.
  7. Provide a balanced and exciting curriculum with improved maths and literacy.
  8. Provide regular information on the progress your child is making through Records of Achievement, parent meetings and end of year reports.
  9. Monitor the progress of your child carefully, inform you if there any issues and offer any extra support we can.
  10. Provide information to you about our school, including Newsletters, open days and meetings.

As a parent/carer I promise to:

  1. Let the school know of any concerns or worries that may affect my child’s learning, behaviour or ability to do homework.
  2. Speak to staff and about staff with respect and let the school know of any concerns or issues so that they can resolved swiftly.
  3. Read all information sent home and sign/complete and return letters/surveys promptly.
  4. Read, sign and return my child’s Record of Achievement each half term.
  5. Attend any meeting to discuss my child’s progress.
  6. Support the school’s behaviour and bullying policies and engage positively to resolve any issues.
  7. Ensure my child has good attendance and arrives for school on time.
  8. Ensure my child wears an appropriate, named uniform including PE kit, shoes, hairbands etc.
  9. Ensure my child completes homework, reads daily and practises high frequency words and Rapid Recall Maths Challenge (these will be sent home soon).
  10. Promote a positive attitude towards school.

As a pupil I promise to:

  1. Learn about the rights of children and follow the class charter.
  2. Respect the rights of other children.
  3. Be respectful and polite to everyone in school.
  4. Accept responsibility for my actions.
  5. Tell a grown up if I am worried or unhappy and ask for help if I need it.
  6. Wear my school uniform with pride.
  7. Have a positive attitude and try my best in all lessons.
  8. Take good care of the building, equipment and school grounds.
  9. Take home and return letters and homework.
  10. Come to school on time and ready to learn.
